Impact Forum
With the Impact Agenda, DEB has identified five major societal challenges as a starting point for innovation in education and research. In direct relation to this Impact Agenda, DEB has organized an annual Impact Forum since 2022. During this forum, with about 150 participants, scientists meet representatives of government and industry. During the forum, they discuss the best way to tackle the five societal challenges together. The most recent edition, in 2024, was in Utrecht.

Previously, the event has been held in Amsterdam (2022) and Den Haag (2023). In 2025, the Impact Forum will be held in Amersfoort, in December.

Remagine Awards In line with the five societal priorities, the Remagine Awards were also established last year, in collaboration with the Goldschmeding Foundation. This foundation supports projects that strive for lasting change in how we work and collaborate. This fits in perfectly with DEB’s ambition. The awards are for the best Master’s theses in Economics & Business of that year, one for each of the five priorities identified by DEB. The winners will receive a trophy and a cash prize of €5,000. In the public final round prior to the final selection, three finalists per category presented their thesis to a jury of experts. Not only the expertise and professionalism of the students stood out, but also their motivation to make the world a better place with what they had learned during their studies. Attendees therefore experienced the award ceremony as a very inspiring meeting. The competition and the concluding ceremony will become an annual event.
