Social innovation strategy

The SSH-council is working on a social innovation strategy.

Minister Bruins (OCW) and Minister Beljaarts (EZK) wrote the following in a letter to the House of Representatives on September 20, 2024, in response to an advisory report from the Advisory Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (AWTI):

“To follow up on the recommendations of the AWTI, we are commissioning a consortium, together with other involved departments, to develop an action plan. NWO, the SSH-council, TNO Vector, and CLICKNL will propose concrete actions to ensure that social aspects are given a place in innovations for societal transitions. The consortium consists of a research funder, researchers from various disciplines, societal organizations, and companies; representatives from at least seven departments will form the steering committee. This ensures that the concrete actions are realistic and effective” (p. 1).

In a later news article, we will delve deeper into the development of the social innovation strategy.
